So fare films short documentary
While studying abroad in Rome in 2022, I wrote and co-directed a short documentary on fashion designer Helena de Jesus. An ex-Vogue model from Mozambique, South Africa, Helena pursued a career in the U.S. with a vision for sustainable fashion that embodies both womanhood and her heritage.
Helena granted me complete access to her wardrobe, allowing me to style her for the video, which was both filmed and edited by Sydney Muench. I also had the opportunity to take numerous promotional photographs that were utilized for the documentary's marketing. The film was screened at the John Cabot Guarini Theater in December 2022.
